The 57th annual Porsche Parade will be held July 8-14, 2012 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Combining the amenities of a major metropolitan area with the friendliness of a small, western city, Salt Lake City is an ideal location for Parade fun. It is a beautiful, safe, and vibrant city, with unparalleled access to natural recreation, dynamic nightlife, remarkable history and warm hospitality. You need to be at the 2012 Porsche Parade...it is a Porsche enthusiast’s dream week! It will be a perfect setting for all our events as well as a terrific vacation for the whole family.
Of course there is the full slate of Parade activities, centered on the four competitive events: Concours, Autocross, TSD Rally and Tech Quiz; along with a myriad of fun social activities and driving tours and local attractions. Traditional activities will include: the Art show, 5k run/walk, golf tournament, gimmick rally, banquets, RC car races and the Michelin Drive & Compare. The well-liked Tech Academy will be back, with plenty of hands-on instruction about do-it-yourself maintenance. Also returning is a real Porsche Parade of cars through the city. The local region, Intermountain, will round out the week with a DE nearby at the incredibly thrilling Miller Motorsports Park.
Our headquarters hotels will be the Little America and its big sister, the Grand America. The Grand America will host our banquets, and Concours Prep will be located in its indoor parking garage. Check-in and Hospitality, the Goodie Store, Art Show and ParadeKids activities will all be hosted by Little America. These two hotels are spectacular. Little America has Salt Lake City’s largest indoor/outdoor pool, both have extensive underground parking areas, and you won’t believe the elegance of the Grand America’s ballroom.
Utah’s state Capitol grounds will be the setting for our Concours. Completed in 1916, the Capitol was built on a hill overlooking the city, and is a photographer’s dream. Whether you like the competition of the Concours or just want to show your pride and joy, this majestic setting is the perfect place to display your car. Join the fun and make sure you are there!
Our Autocross and the Michelin Drive and Compare will be held at Maverick Center. Located just 10 minutes from downtown, this sports and entertainment venue has a sea of asphalt just waiting for us.
The members of the Intermountain region are very proud to welcome us to their fine city and are lining up a slew of activities that highlight the local attractions.
