The Hilton Head Island Motoring Festival & Concours d’Elegance, now celebrating its tenth year, is considered one of the top events of its kind on the East coast and is unique in both its format and ambiance. With over 14,000 people attending the event in 201 and close to 15,000 expected in 2012, this multi-day Motoring Festival represents a new approach to the automotive event. The Hilton Head Island Motoring Festival, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, benefits the Driving Young America Charitable Fund, which provides support to the education, inspiration and creativity of youth who have an interest in the design, performance, restoration, safety and historical significance of the automobile.
The Motoring Festival begins with the Savannah Speed Classic (October 26 – October 28) on Savannah’s Hutchinson Island at the newly reopened Grand Prize of America Road Course situated on the grounds of The Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa and adjacent to the City’s famed River Street. The week continues with Motoring Festival activities moving to Hilton Head Island (November 3 - 4). The public event activities begin with Saturday’s Car Club Jamboree which this year features Britain as its European marque and attracts Car Clubs invited from the region. On both Saturday and Sunday crowds will visit the Motoring Midway featuring sponsor displays, special exhibits such as the “Road to the Future” with the latest in concept cars, vintage boats and a number of special attractions. The Hilton Head Island event culminates with Sunday’s prestigious Concours d’Elegance, a Best of Show competition for 150 of the finest classic automobiles the country has to offer.
Ticketing Information:
Tickets will be available both online at an advanced discounted rate beginning summer 2012 and at the gate during event hours. Discounted rates are available online through October 15, 2012. In addition, Patrons and VIP Packages will be available online available through the end of September. Group rates for groups of 10 or more are available through the Motoring Festival office (843-785-7469).
Children under 12 are admitted FREE. 12 and older are admitted for $5/day with Student I.D.
Military (with Active Duty I.D.) and families receive ½ off at gate.
Blankets and personal chairs are welcomed.
Pets are not permitted at the Hutchinson Island venue
